WOLF MAN

Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions in collaboration with GROUND CONTROL presents Leigh Whannell’s WOLF MAN. Released on 17 January 2025, this was a long time in the making with Ground Control starting early development feasibility in October 2020 for the project to be considered to be based in New Zealand. After an extended delay due to Covid, then WGA and SAG strikes before it got finally green light in November 2023 and we commenced pre-production in January 2024 at Lane Street Studios, Upper Hutt (Wellington), New Zealand. We also shot in the Paradise Forest, Kinloch and Rees Valley in Glenorchy, Queenstown, as well as Featherstone Street, Wellington City and Mangaroa Farm in Upper Hutt. With an incredibly talented crew who worked hard to create amazing set design, makeup prosthetics design, costume design, stunt choreography, lighting rigs, special fx crash rigs, and sourcing some of the most perfect locations, set decoration, props and picture vehicles to bring the Director’s vision to life. Everyone delivered excellence everyday and we are very proud of and humbled by the quality work from our world-class talent we have in New Zealand and we were fortunate to have with us on WOLF MAN. Thank you to all the cast, crew, vendors and of course to Blumhouse, Universal and Leigh Whannell.
